I'm a big proponent of the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" school of thought, and Windows XP works just fine for me.
So why do I want Windows Vista so badly?
Well, I like being on the cutting edge, and besides, it's pretty. It's also free right now in the beta version.
So, dear readers, tell me. Are any of you using it yet? How do you like it? I'm concerned about not having the "all programs" view in the start menu. Have you found that to be a problem? Sometimes I can't remember the name of a program I need and I want to see the list. Is it still available somewhere?
The sidebar feature seems very useful, though. Does it work as promised?
Once you upgrade, you cannot roll back to a previous version of Windows, so I want to make sure this is what I really want it before I do so. To use another well-worn cliche, "Be careful what you ask for. You might get it."
