A pet peeve of mine is when someone more creative and more daring actually pulls off a truly original work of art disguised as a website. It peeves me because I wish I was this creative.
Go ahead...click on that link above. It will take you to a website created by a new author coming out with some new books. See if you can not click on all the pages. Go ahead...I dare you.
This site should give entrepreneurs the following lessons in website creation:
- You don't need a lot of money (heck, you don't even need a whiteboard!)
- You don't need expensive graphics.
- The more personalized it is, the better.
- The more fun it is, the better.
- Don't give all the information away at one time. Make people work for it a little. If its fun for them, they'll do it.

Just loved that website. And you know what else is great about it? Here it is getting discussed with a few thousand people who didn't know the author existed before now!
How much would you pay to get the same kind of publicity and attention for a new business? Too much, probably. Focus on being remarkable and unique instead, and watch what happens.
