by offering all of his employees a free iPhone, valued at $599.
As a business owner, what have you done lately for your employees that was generous and unexpected? Don't worry, you don't have to answer that...
Here's my point: On a day when lots of people are standing in line to get the new iPhone because of all the positive reviews, the employees of Apple are getting special treatment by their leader, Steve Jobs.
Its a classy move, and the $600 they're investing in their employees will come back in positive ways many times over: Loyalty, morale and dedication to their job will all certainly take a big upswing when the come into work on Monday morning.
You can do the same thing at your business. Own a restaurant? Invite your employees and their families to an appreciation dinner, hosted and served by you. Own a clothing store that's launching a new line? Give each employee a new ensemble, paid for by you.
There are lots of ideas...good ones, in fact. Follow Apple's lead and do something generous for your employees.
